A new community of the Congregation of the D.S.H.J. was started in Schlossstrasse. The blessing of the new house took place on 29 July 2024. The house was blessed by Bishop Herwig of the Diocese of Bamberg. The community was started with three sisters. All the sisters are working in the Caritas Old Age Home. Our mission is to serve the elderly people with love and care. We help them not only in their physical needs but also in their spiritual life. They especially accompany them in the final stage of life and help them to prepare for death with peace and dignity. We also help in arranging the priest for the last blessings. Apart from this, we try to visit nearby houses, especially when we know there are sick people who need support and prayer. Because of our work, we do not always have many opportunities to visit families, but whenever possible we try to support the parish and the people. Through our prayer life, community life, and mission, we try to witness the merciful love of the Heart of Jesus.
